Tutto Mondo Lounge is right up your alley. This award-winning club on South Blvd in Charlotte's Dilworth neighborhood features velvet drapes, dim lighting and richly-colored couches you can sink into and people-watch. But

along with this apartment-style intimacy comes a hopping club atmosphere packed with beautiful people dressed to impress.

Not surprisingly, there's a strict dress code (no casual wear), and the DJ's spin choices vary among acid jazz, hipster indie or muted electro genres (no Top 40 here). Crowds can vary drastically depending on the night, but weekends are a better bet if you want to mingle. Drinks are large, but on the mid-price-range side - around $8 for a cocktail - and the club specializes in a rotating menu of specialty drinks (try the Apple Pie Martini or Root Beer Float Martini). There are some appetizing munchies, too - try the Almond-Baked Brie. The décor is fairly simplistic, with a few murals over exposed brick, and the club will often do regular theme nights to mix things up and not take itself too seriously. This is a club that's more focused on atmosphere and mingling rather than the music itself, so patrons get a great chance to listen to some more obscure tunes that wouldn't be played anywhere else.
